Accra: Catechist Daniel Opoku of the Ebenezer Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has advised parents, especially fathers, to inculcate good morals in their children and introduce them to Christ at an early age. This, he stated, would lay a strong moral foundation in the children.
According to Ghana News Agency, Catechist Opoku shared these insights during this year's Children's Ministry Week celebration. The event was held under the theme 'For the Spirit God Gave us Does Not Make Us Timid, but Gives us Power, Love, and Self-Discipline'. He emphasized that when children are introduced to Christ early, they are better equipped to resist social media influence and temptation.
The celebration included various activities such as traditional performances and choreography, which showcased Ghana's cultural heritage. After the service, the children were treated with drinks, toffees, and biscuits, courtesy of some church members.
