Accra: Reverend Eric Dzansi, a Minister of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana (EPCG), emphasized the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in an online sermon. He stated that Christians cannot change the world through entertainment or human strategies, but only by experiencing the living Christ and making Him known globally.
According to Ghana News Agency, Rev Dzansi highlighted the importance of not merely adhering to traditions or attending church, but truly awakening to the presence of Christ. He urged the church to rise from its slumber, stressing the need for revival among the youth, restoration within families, and divine intervention for the nation.
Rev Dzansi encouraged Christians to actively impact their families, schools, workplaces, communities, and the nation, showcasing the evidence of the Holy Spirit in their lives. He remarked on the prevailing fear, confusion, compromise, spiritual dryness, and moral darkness in today's world, noting that many now worship money, fame, social media, pleasures, and power instead of carved images.
The Reverend Minister asserted that education and worldly success without God have no value. He emphasized that the church should be built not on human wisdom alone, but through the power of the Holy Spirit, enabling Christians to bear witness to Jesus Christ in every aspect of their lives.
Rev Dzansi reminded Christians that they are being watched to see if their faith translates into changed behaviors and attitudes, maintaining purity in an immoral generation. He observed that many Christians choose to remain silent due to fear of rejection, criticism, losing friends, or persecution, but true believers stay faithful even during trials.
Rev Dzansi concluded by stating that believers filled with the Holy Spirit serve as living evidence that Jesus Christ is alive.
