Atebubu: The Ohempon-Yere Foundation, a charity organization, has extended its support to the aged, widows, and vulnerable individuals in Atebubu, located in the Bono East Region, by donating clothing and bags of rice.
According to Ghana News Agency, the foundation also provided undisclosed sums of money to assist the beneficiary widows and the elderly in their daily lives. During a ceremony held in Atebubu, Maame Yaa Yeboah Asiamah, the founder of the foundation, emphasized the organization's ongoing commitment to empowering the vulnerable in society, enabling them to lead meaningful lives.
Maame Asiamah, who is also the wife of Ohempon Dr. Yeboah Asiamah, the Paramount Chief of the Atebubu Traditional Area, shared that supporting the poor and vulnerable has always been her vision. She expressed gratitude to the foundation's partners, both domestically and internationally, and urged wealthy citizens of Atebubu to contribute to the development of the area. Ohempon Dr. Asiamah also conveyed his gratitude to the community for their support and cooperation as he celebrated the fourth anniversary of his enstoolment in 2026.
He reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the living conditions of the less privileged and vulnerable individuals in the region, and he thanked his wife for her charitable actions. Madam Juliana Agyapong, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her thanks to the foundation for the assistance and hoped for continued support in the future.
