Accra: Gospel musician Obaapa Christy has revealed her thoughts on life choices she would have made differently if given a chance to revisit her past. She expressed a desire to have pursued formal education earlier and considered marriage at a younger age.
According to Ghana Web, Obaapa Christy shared in an interview on 3FM that the combination of her natural gifts with formal education could have propelled her to greater achievements. Despite her success without formal education, she values the knowledge it brings and remains open to pursuing it regardless of her age. In reflecting on her career path, she affirmed that she would still choose to be a gospel musician, as her ministry has been a significant source of upliftment and opportunities.
Obaapa Christy also mentioned that if she had the chance, she would have married earlier. Currently, she is married with five children; two are from her current marriage, while three are from her previous marriage. Looking forward, she is preparing to host the 2026 edition of Royal Praise, an event featuring performances by notable gospel artists such as Empress Gifty, Joyce Blessing, Uncle Ato, Celestine Donkor, Akesse Brempong, and Kwaku Gyasi. The event is set to take place on August 9, 2026, at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
