Accra: John Ntim Fordjour, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin South, has reportedly facilitated the bail of Apostle Daniel JY Adjei following his arrest over allegations of making derogatory comments about Prophet Mohammed.
According to Ghana Web, a video shows Fordjour at the Police Headquarters in Cantoments, Accra. Apostle Daniel JY Adjei stood to Fordjour's left, accompanied by individuals from both the Muslim and Christian communities. Present at the scene was also NPP member and lawyer Kwesi Botchwey Jr.
Addressing the media, Fordjour stated that the issues surrounding the controversy had been resolved amicably. He urged Christians and Muslims to maintain peace and live in harmony, emphasizing their shared Ghanaian identity. "We've solved everything, so let's maintain the peace. Christians and Muslims, we are all one people," Fordjour remarked. "Let's continue to stay together as one. Let's all be one and live cordially. There's no problem. By God's grace, peace has been achieved, and we have dealt with everything accordingly. Thank you."
Fordjour expressed gratitude to a Muslim man identified only as Alhaji, shaking hands with him as a gesture of unity and reconciliation.
