Asokore-Koforidua:The No-Fees-Stress Policy has significantly boosted access to tertiary education at the SDA College of Education. Beneficiaries of the policy have expressed their gratitude to the government for alleviating the financial burdens associated with pursuing higher education.

According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Gifty Seiwaa Nyarko, Vice Principal of the SDA College of Education in Asokore-Koforidua, reported that during the 2025/2026 academic year, 470 first-year students benefited from the policy. The beneficiaries included 160 males and 310 females.

Dr. Nyarko highlighted the policy's success as evidence of students' understanding of the importance of utilizing government interventions to advance their education. She advised students to use the financial support wisely, emphasizing that their academic user fees were already covered under the policy.

Ms. Esther Ansah, a first-year Bachelor of Education student, shared that the policy enabled her to pursue her dream of studying Early Grade Education without financial difficulties. Similarly, Mr. Samuel Okai Ntiri, another beneficiary, noted that family-provided funds would not have sufficed without the policy's aid.

President John Dramani Mahama launched the No-Fees-Stress Policy on July 4, 2025, at the SDA College of Education to boost enrollment in public tertiary institutions. The policy covers academic user fees for all first-year students, while continuing students can access financial support through loan schemes.
