Accra: Nigerian streamer Davrel has sparked conversations on social media after praising Ghana's airport and immigration process during a live stream with Afrobeats superstar Davido. In a video making the rounds online, Davrel recounted his first impression upon arriving in Ghana, admitting he had initially hoped the country would not surpass Nigeria in infrastructure and organisation.
According to Ghana Web, Davrel shared his thoughts by saying, 'I came into Ghana today. I won't lie, from walking into the airport, I'm like, 'Damn, I hope Ghana is not better than Nigeria.'' As he continued his journey from the airport, the streamer expressed his admiration for what he had seen so far.
The streamer went on to compare Ghana's airport experience to that of Toronto, highlighting the efficiency of the country's immigration procedures. 'Ghana, bro, your airport. it was reminding me of Toronto, just from touching down and walking into that place. Look at how they were doing their immigration. Better, way better, not like Nigeria. don't worry now, come and land in Naija first,' he said.
Responding to these comments, Davido mentioned that there was a period when many Nigerian musicians were based in Ghana. 'There was a time all Nigerian artistes were living in Ghana. calm yourself,' Davido remarked.
