According to ghana news agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, Mr Ametefe stated that the organisation had consistently championed initiatives aimed at removing barriers and creating opportunities for visually impaired individuals to thrive in mainstream classrooms. He made the remarks in an interview with the agency, where he also praised NHFB's Technology Enhanced Accessible Classroom for Higher Impacts (TEACH) Project.
He mentioned that through the initiative, NHFB had built the capacity of educators by equipping them with specialised classroom management skills and pedagogical tools to effectively support students with visual impairments. The Coordinator also highlighted the impact of NHFB's E.P Educational Centre, which provides instruction in braille and technological applications for visually impaired students.
Mr Ametefe noted that the facility offers specialised preparatory training to help students with impairments transition smoothly and confidently into mainstream school environments. He assured that the Ghana Education Service (GES) would sustain its strategic partnership with NHFB, emphasizing that the collaboration was essential to ensure that visually impaired students received the necessary resources and training to fully participate in the mainstream education system.
