According to Ghana Web, speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of the NYA, Osman Abdullai Ayariga, highlighted that the distribution is more than a support programme; it is a long-term investment in Ghana's human capital and a demonstration of the resolve to tackle youth unemployment. Ayariga explained that apprentices are receiving equipment for trades, including tailoring, carpentry, electrical work, and beauty services, enabling them to establ ish businesses or enhance their practical training. Ayariga stated that regardless of the trade-be it tailoring, carpentry, electrical work, or beauty services-participants are part of a national movement that values their craft. He emphasized the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in national development, noting that technical and vocational skills are essential drivers of industrialisation, job creation, and poverty reduction. By supporting apprenticeships, the programme aims to equip Ghana's youth for the jobs of today and tomorrow. Concluding his speech, the CEO pledged NYA's commitment to accountability and monitoring, assuring that every Cedi invested would yield measurable impact. Ayariga reiterated that empowering the youth is synonymous with empowering Ghana.
