Sanaa:Ghanaian fashion icon Nana Akua Addo and her husband, Harold Norman, are embroiled in controversy following allegations of child abuse involving their 13-year-old daughter, Jesusa Norman. Videos circulating online have previously implicated Harold Norman in allegedly assaulting Nana Akua Addo.
According to Ghana Web, recent developments indicate that Harold Norman is not the only parent accused of wrongdoing. Nana Akua Addo herself faces allegations of physically abusing their daughter, with incidents reportedly dating back to February 2, 2016, when Jesusa was just three years old.
A medical report from Dr. Ibrahim Bin Mohammed of LEKMA Hospital claims that Nana Akua Addo allegedly assaulted her daughter, who has special needs, using a belt. The report also states that the fashion icon showed no remorse and suggests that she needed an evaluation as of the date of the medical assessment.
Further allegations surfaced through a series of phone chats between Jesusa and her father. In these conversations, Jesusa recounted ongoing abuse by her mother, expressing feelings of being hated and detailing instances of starvation. She claimed that both she and her sister, Katie, were deprived of food and were insulted by their mother and neighbors.
In additional footage, Jesusa and another of Nana Akua Addo's children displayed scars on their bodies, attributing them to beatings with wires by their mother. The children alleged that these incidents occurred frequently and that their mother was planning to travel to Nigeria.
