Accra: Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has sparked reactions on social media after dismissing claims suggesting that New Patriotic Party (NPP) aspirant Samuel Owusu Amankwaa is on course to become the next Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon. The reactions followed a post shared by an X user on July 18, 2026, claiming that Samuel Owusu Amankwaa was already positioning himself to contest the constituency's parliamentary seat.
According to Ghana Web, the post suggested that the politician was spotted at the University of Ghana campus interacting with students, an appearance the user suggested was part of an early campaign to win support ahead of the next election.
Reacting to the claim, Nana Aba Anamoah rejected the suggestion, insisting that the constituency remains firmly behind the incumbent MP, John Dumelo. She further stated that constituents have no intention of replacing him anytime soon, adding that even if John Dumelo decides not to run for the position again, he would be forced to. 'Incoming hwan? Where? My constituency? Daabi da. ?nfa. It is @johndumelo until he says he won't run again. even then, we will chain him to the seat,' she wrote on X.
