Accra: The Federation of Muslim Councils (FMC), Ghana, has extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Muslims across the nation, emphasizing the importance of upholding the values of Ramadan. The FMC urged the Muslim community to foster unity and contribute to the development of the country.
According to Ghana News Agency, the FMC highlighted that Eid-ul-Fitr signifies the conclusion of Ramadan, a period focused on spiritual growth, self-reflection, and devotion to Allah. The organization expressed hope that the fasting, prayers, and charitable acts performed during Ramadan would be accepted by Allah, empowering Muslims to continue their dedication to serving humanity.
The Federation called on Muslims to maintain the lessons learned during Ramadan, particularly emphasizing self-discipline, compassion, and a strong sense of community. It encouraged active participation in national development efforts, including the fight against corruption, support for vulnerable groups, and collaboration on sustainable infrastructure projects.
'Eid-ul-Fitr is a time for forgiveness, unity, and kindness, so as Muslims we must strengthen family ties and support our communities,' the statement read. The FMC also urged all citizens to work together to build a cohesive and peaceful Ghana, while praying for Allah's blessings on the nation and expressing optimism for ongoing peace, prosperity, and harmony.
