MTN Ghana Extends Support to Muslim Community in Sekondi

Sekondi: MTN Ghana, in collaboration with its allied company, has provided a generous donation of food items and other essentials to the Muslim community in the Western Region, aiding them in breaking their month-long fast. The donation included bags of rice, cooking oil, sugar, soft drinks, biscuits, a ram, bottled water, and a cash contribution of GHS10,000, all presented to Imam Alhaj Zulkifli Abdul Waheed, the Western Regional Chief Imam.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Kennedy Ofosuhene, South-West Business District Corporate Communications Head of MTN Ghana, presented the items and reiterated the company's dedication to supporting the Muslim community. He highlighted that this annual donation has helped to strengthen the enduring relationship between MTN Ghana and the Muslim community. "The company has been doing this for the past 15 to 20 years, and we want them to know we appreciate our friendship," he stated.

Mr. Ofosuhene emphasized the significance of fasting as an essential religious practice and encouraged the community to offer prayers for the sustained growth and effective management of MTN Ghana's business. In response, the Chief Imam expressed his gratitude for MTN Ghana's generosity and commitment to community engagement, offering prayers for the company's continued success.
