MP Urges Muslims to Uphold, Defend Values of Discipline, Love and Unity

Wenchi: Alhaji Seidu Haruna, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wenchi Constituency in the Bono Region, has advised Muslim communities to uphold and defend the values of discipline, love, and unity. He emphasized that these virtues are essential for progressive development and reminded the community that Islamic teachings are fundamentally based on peace and social cohesion.

According to Ghana News Agency, the MP offered this advice while addressing hundreds of Muslims gathered in Wenchi to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr. He urged them to maintain peaceful coexistence with others, highlighting that peace and unity are prerequisites for community development.

Alhaji Haruna further noted that Islam encourages Muslims to be compassionate and kind-hearted. He advised the community to demonstrate love by praying for the nation and its leaders. Additionally, he admonished the Muslim youth to be law-abiding and avoid substance abuse, suggesting that they channel their energy into productive activities that positively impact society.

Alhaji Issah Ibrahim, the Wenchi Municipal Chief Imam, expressed gratitude to Allah for a successful Ramadan. He led the gathering in prayers for continued peace and progressive national development.
