Pasoro: Mr. Frank Yeboah, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North in the Ashanti region, has reassured residents that the construction of the 26-kilometre Adankwame-Ntensere road is on track for completion soon. He emphasized that this road project was his second major request to the Roads and Highways Minister, following the successful completion of the 30-kilometre Amanfrom-Offinso road.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Yeboah made these remarks while addressing local chiefs and residents during a community engagement event at Pasoro. The Roads Ministry has confirmed that the contractor will resume work shortly, as all necessary documentation for the project has been finalized. This community engagement was part of a series under the theme 'Parliament to Your Doorstep,' aiming to foster interaction, address concerns, and gather feedback from the constituents.
During the meeting, Mr. Yeboah elaborated on his achievements and future plans, including a commitment to sponsor ten medical and engineering students each over the next decade. He highlighted that in 2025, two medical and engineering students, along with twelve nursing students, benefited from this initiative. Other accomplishments mentioned were the payment of hospital bills, National Health Insurance Scheme registrations, and improvements in communication networks.
In addition to addressing road infrastructure, Mr. Yeboah announced the commencement of a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHIPS) compound, funded partly by his share of the MPs' common fund. Estimated to cost GHS 750,000.00, the facility is set to be completed this year and will include various departments to enhance healthcare services in alignment with the national universal health coverage goals for 2030.
Nana Okofo Badu Marfo, the town's chief, called for community unity and support for the MP's developmental initiatives. He encouraged parents to prepare their children for opportunities arising from the MP's programs. Additionally, Mr. Collins Nsiah Junior, the area's Assemblyman, pledged his dedication to advocating for further development in the electoral region.
