Motorbike Rider Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident at Adansi Asokwa

Adansi asokwa: A motorbike rider has reportedly died while several others have sustained injuries following a multi-vehicle accident at the Adansi Asokwa junction in Ashanti Region, directly opposite the Desert Filling Station, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. The accident involved a Toyota Voxy, a Transit vehicle, a KIA truck, and a motorbike.

According to Ghana Web, a viral video shared on X on May 21, 2026, revealed that the KIA truck reportedly experienced brake failure. This mechanical issue caused the driver to lose control, resulting in a crash into traders by the roadside before colliding with the other vehicles. Two traders were reportedly injured and rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.

The motorbike rider is reported to have died on the spot, while occupants of the Toyota Voxy and Transit vehicle sustained varying degrees of injuries. Eyewitnesses at the scene described the crash as causing panic among traders and commuters in the area as residents rushed to assist the injured before emergency responders arrived.

Authorities have yet to officially comment on the incident or confirm the number of casualties and the exact cause of the crash.
