Accra: Intense drama unfolded in the studio of Lawson TV after a mother and her daughter publicly expressed outrage over the failure of a France-based 'borga' to honour a marriage proposal.
According to Ghana Web, the video circulating on X on August 18, 2026, shows the man, identified as the daughter's boyfriend, allegedly pressuring her to repeatedly send explicit videos during their relationship, promising marriage in return. Unfortunately, the man, who had reportedly been in a relationship with the daughter for months, failed to honour his promise upon returning to the country.
The man in question reportedly offered to compensate her with GHS20,000, a move the mother-daughter duo clearly indicated was not acceptable, as stated in a portion of the caption that accompanied the video. Staff at the station present could be heard pleading with the woman to calm down, while her daughter wailed loudly in the background.
The video further captured an emotional scene in the studio, with both women dressed in black and red outfits. 'Mama, please have patience,' a staff member could be heard saying, as they attempted to restrain the mother from causing further chaos.
This incident comes at a time when romance fraud and leaked intimate videos have become prevalent in the country.
