Money Ritual Victim Begs for Help After Losing GHS6,600

Accra: Asante Akyem Agogo: A 25-year-old man, identified as Nana Yaw, a resident of Asante Akyem Agogo in the Ashanti Region, is seeking public assistance to locate an alleged group of scammers operating under the name 'Black Freemason' on social media platform TikTok.

According to Ghana Web, Nana Yaw came across the group on TikTok, where members allegedly claimed they could help people acquire wealth without the use of human sacrifice, insisting they only used animals and other minor rituals. He said the promises convinced him to contact the group in hopes of improving his financial situation.

Speaking on Sompa Nkomo, a television programme that addresses social and domestic issues, Nana Yaw explained that he travelled to Techiman to meet the group after initial conversations online. According to him, he was introduced to certain rituals by the alleged leader of the group, identified as 'Dosted King,' who reportedly performed chants and later showed him what appeared to be physical cash amounting to GHS300,000.

However, Nana Yaw said he was told he needed to make an initial payment of GHS2,000 before he could proceed with the process. After making the payment, he was allegedly informed that he would have to pay an additional GHS5,000 before the money could be released to him. He explained that he could not raise the full GHS5,000 but managed to gather GHS4,600, which he later sent to the group after pleading with them to 'beg the lord' on his behalf, something he claimed they agreed to do.

According to Nana Yaw, after making the payment, the group began giving him excuses whenever he contacted them about the promised money. He alleged that when he called the following day, he was told that 'the lord had travelled,' while subsequent calls were either ignored or met with different explanations.

Feeling deceived and financially stranded, Nana Yaw has now appealed to the public and authorities to help track down the individuals behind the alleged scheme and recover his money.
