Accra: The Ghana Armed Forces have deployed military personnel to the premises of Adamus Resources Limited following the government's revocation of the company's mining leases. The deployment ensures that the entire operational area, from the Esiama gate through all sections of the concession, is now under stringent security control.
According to Ghana Web, the military's presence comes shortly after the government's announcement through the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources that Adamus' mining leases covering the Akango, Salman, and Nkroful concessions have been revoked. This move has been met with strong opposition from Adamus Resources, which claims the decision was made without proper procedure and is based on unfounded allegations.
In a statement issued on Monday, April 27, 2026, Adamus Resources expressed its discontent with the revocation, emphasizing the need for accuracy and public clarity. The company firmly refuted the allegations, stating they do not accurately represent its operations. Additionally, Adamus denied any involvement in illegal mining or unlawful subcontracting and reiterated its commitment to responsible mining and environmental protection.
The company has assured stakeholders that it will take all necessary steps to safeguard its legal rights while continuing to engage with relevant parties to resolve the issue.
