Accra: A man impersonating Dr Callistus Mahama and allegedly promising to secure appointments in exchange for money has been arrested. The suspect had been engaging in this fraudulent activity for an undisclosed period before authorities apprehended him.
According to Ghana Web, Dr Callistus Mahama revealed the arrest through a social media post, expressing that the impersonator had been deceiving job seekers by falsely guaranteeing appointments upon receiving payment. The apprehension came after thorough investigations into the matter.
Dr Mahama emphasized that appointments should not be obtained through financial transactions and cautioned the public against anyone making such demands in his name. He stressed that those who claim to offer appointments for money are fraudsters and should not be trusted.
He urged Ghanaians to exercise caution, verify any suspicious requests through official channels, and report individuals involved in similar fraudulent activities. Dr Mahama's message serves as a warning to the public to stay vigilant and informed to prevent falling victim to scams.
