Accra: A 36-year-old man, Kwabena Anokye, lost his life following a violent confrontation over a woman in the Ashanti Region. The incident occurred at Offinso Agyimpra, causing shock within the community and prompting police investigations.
According to Ghana Web, Anokye was killed in the early hours of Friday, May 1, 2026. The altercation drew significant attention from local authorities as they seek to unravel the details of what transpired. Anokye's death was reportedly the result of a dispute with Akwasi Anyom over a woman named Adwubi.
The report details that Anokye had previously fathered a child with Adwubi, who later left him to be with Anyom. In response to this, Anokye allegedly went to Anyom's residence around midnight, entered through a window, and demanded that Adwubi return to him. The confrontation between the two men quickly became violent.
Adwubi reportedly fled the scene, leaving Anokye and Anyom to engage in a fight that ultimately led to Anokye's death. Anyom sustained machete wounds during the altercation and was hospitalized for treatment. After being discharged, he has been cooperating with the police as they continue their investigation.
The deceased's body has been placed in the morgue as authorities work to uncover the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
