Man Allegedly Kills Friend Over Affair With Aunt in Central Region

Bawjiase babianeha: A 35-year-old man named Ezekiel has been detained in Bawjiase Babianeha, located in the Central Region, for allegedly killing his 60-year-old friend with a machete. The attack was reportedly motivated by claims of a romantic relationship between the deceased and Ezekiel's aunt.

According to Ghana Web, Ezekiel had previously warned the victim to terminate the alleged relationship before eventually resorting to violence. A video circulating on social media included a voice-over stating that Ezekiel had been making threats in the days preceding the incident. However, those around him did not take his threats seriously.

The voice-over in the video elaborated, "It started four days ago - according to the youth in the area, he had been talking about killing someone. They thought he was just talking." The community found the deceased with multiple machete wounds, leading them to suspect Ezekiel as the perpetrator.

Community members discovered the body and promptly apprehended Ezekiel before the authorities arrived. Reports from the area suggest that Ezekiel has a history of mental illness, which locals believe may have played a role in the unfortunate event.

The police have since visited the crime scene and initiated investigations to uncover more details surrounding the incident.
