Accra: Mama Bobi III, Afetornyonufia (queen) of Ho Bakoe in the Asogli State, has donated brand-new laptops to the Kabore School complex, to boost digital literacy among pupils.
According to Ghana News Agency, the Queen emphasized that digital literacy is now a fundamental requirement for individual advancement and national development in the 21st century. The donation was made during a brief ceremony at the school's premises, attended by school administrators, teachers, and excited students.
Mama Bobi expressed her commitment to enhancing digital literacy among pupils, ensuring that students in the Ho Municipality are not left behind in an increasingly technology-driven world. She highlighted that the laptops would facilitate the transition from theoretical ICT lessons to practical, hands-on learning experiences.
She further explained that equipping children with digital knowledge early prepares them for future academic pursuits and competitive job markets. The focus on practical skills aims to provide students with a strong foundation in technology.
Madam Dorothy Korkor Acheampong, the Headmistress of Kabore School, expressed profound gratitude to Mama Bobi for her consistent support of education and social welfare. She noted that the laptops would significantly ease the burden of teaching practical ICT concepts without adequate hardware.
The Headmistress assured Mama Bobi that the devices would be used strictly for their intended instructional purposes, underscoring the importance of the donation in achieving educational goals.
