M.anifest Reveals Last Nomination Filing at Telecel Ghana Music Awards

Accra: Prolific lyricist and rapper, M.anifest, has disclosed that 2017 was the last year he filed for nominations at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA). In a recent interaction on X, dated March 17, 2026, a content creator known as Scanty inquired if M.anifest had submitted his song 'Wine and Blues,' featuring Arathejay, for consideration in the 'Collaboration of the Year' category at the 27th edition of the awards. The track is part of the 'New Road and Guava Trees' album, released in March 2025.

According to Ghana Web, M.anifest responded to Scanty's inquiry by stating that he hasn't participated in the nomination process since 2017, indicating a significant hiatus from the awards scene. "I haven't filed for anything since 2017. Love to everyone tho," M.anifest replied, reflecting his decision to refrain from submitting his works for recognition over the past several years.

This revelation comes shortly after the announcement of nominees for the 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, which took place on March 14, 2026. M.anifest's last involvement with the awards, in 2017, was a notable year for his career. He was honored as 'Best Rapper of the Year' at the 18th edition of the Ghana Music Awards, triumphing over renowned artists such as Flowking Stone, E.L, Medikal, Yaa Pono, and Sarkodie. The prestigious event was held at the Accra International Conference Centre in April 2017.

M.anifest's win in 2017 followed a highly publicized rap feud in 2016, where his track 'godMC' took aim at Sarkodie's 'Bossy' song, marking one of the most talked-about events in the Ghanaian music scene.
