Accra: Popular Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese has taken a jab at dancehall musician Shatta Wale following the latter's plea for a serious investor to support his music career. Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, made a public appeal on Facebook, stating that without substantial investment, he might have to consider quitting music to focus on his other business ventures.
According to Ghana Web, Shatta Wale expressed his need for an investor by saying, "Where I have gotten with my career now I think I need a serious investor on board cuz I can't do this alone. Otherwise, I will have to stop music and concentrate on my other businesses which will be my best decision." This statement prompted Kwaw Kese to respond with a suggestion that Shatta Wale sell one of his luxury cars and invest the proceeds into his music career. Alternatively, Kwaw Kese offered him acres of land to farm, indicating that Shatta Wale's well-known extravagant lifestyle contradicts his need for external funding.
The exchange is the latest development in the ongoing rivalry between the two artists, who have a history of trading barbs both online and through their music.
