Kwahu: Benjamin Essuman, Special Aide to the Chief of Staff, has announced that the upcoming 2026 Kwahu Business Forum is poised to be a significant and impactful event.
According to Ghana Web, Essuman elaborated on the event's transformative potential, explaining that organizers have incorporated lessons from previous editions to implement fresh and innovative approaches. These changes aim to elevate the success of this year's forum.
One of the key modifications is the relocation to the Kwahu Convention Center, a modern venue capable of accommodating over 1,000 participants. This facility will not only host the 2026 forum but will also serve as a permanent site for business conferences, forums, entertainment events, and related activities. The event's duration has been extended to three days, from April 3 to 4, 2026, featuring a comprehensive array of sessions and discussions.
The 2026 forum will draw a diverse range of participants, including insurance companies, banks, automobile firms, spare parts dealers, and more. A major highlight will be the participation of high-profile dignitaries such as President John Dramani Mahama, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, and Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama, along with senior government officials and private-sector leaders.
Registration for the forum commenced on February 12, 2026, and will remain open until 8:30 a.m. on April 3, 2026. Essuman, who is part of the organizing team, urged businesses and potential attendees to register early and provide details of their delegations for seamless coordination. The Kwahu Business Forum aims to inspire, support, and guide entrepreneurs from the Kwahu area, aiding them in scaling up and contributing to national development.
Essuman noted that the forum was conceived by President John Dramani Mahama and Chief of Staff Julius Debrah. In 2024, businesspeople from Kwahu convened to discuss the national business landscape and explore how then-candidate Mahama could assist them if elected. The 2025 edition expanded under the President's mandate to include all banks, addressing the critical challenge of access to capital for businesses. This led to a successful event in Kwahu Mpraeso, bringing together financial institutions to support local enterprises.
