Accra: Mr Nelson Kofi Djabab, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Krachi East constituency, has handed over two 40-feet containers filled with educational resources to the Municipal Education Directorate for onward distribution. This initiative aims to support the well-being of deprived and vulnerable children within the constituency.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Djabab stated that the shipment comprised textbooks and furniture designed to address deficiencies in schools across the constituency. The educational materials include textbooks for subjects such as science, mathematics, social studies, and English language, catering to basic, secondary schools, and vocational institutions. The furniture is intended to meet practical seating needs while symbolizing a commitment to education and community development in Krachi East.
Mr Djabab emphasized the significance of investing in quality education, noting that the support aligns with government efforts to enhance education and promote effective learning. He mentioned the necessity of complementing government efforts and expressed pride in partnering with a non-governmental organization to provide resources to students in his constituency.
Mr Solomon Atitsogbui, the Municipal Director of Education, received the donation on behalf of the Directorate and expressed gratitude for the MP's dedication to improving education in the area. Additionally, Mr Djabab handed over a rehabilitated and furnished Kpelema clinic to ensure quality health care delivery for the local population. He reiterated his commitment to addressing the pressing needs of his constituents.
Mr Safo Nketia, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Krachi East, praised the MP's efforts in fostering development in the region. Furthermore, Mr Abdul-Muttalib, Krachi East Municipal Director of Health, expressed appreciation for the initiative and appealed for continued support.
