Accra: Mr. Sebastian Deh, Member of Parliament for the Kpando Constituency, has donated food items to support Muslims in Kpando during the Ramadan celebrations. The gesture is part of the MP's efforts to aid the Muslim community as they observe the holy month of fasting, prayer, and reflection.
According to Ghana News Agency, the items presented included bags of sugar, loaves of bread, Nido milk, and tea to assist Muslim families in preparing meals for the daily breaking of the fast. Presenting the items, Mr. Deh reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and development of people in the constituency. "I remain committed to supporting all communities in the constituency and ensuring that development projects reach every part of Kpando," he said.
He highlighted several ongoing and planned development projects in the area, such as the construction of the Kpando-Torkor road and an ultra-modern dining hall with a 12-seater toilet facility for Sovetech. The MP also mentioned an 18-unit classroom block for Kpando Senior High School and a 12-unit classroom block for the Special School and basic school at Abanu.
Alhaji Mustapha, the Municipal Chief Imam, who led other Islamic leaders and elders to receive the items, expressed appreciation to Mr. Deh for the support and prayed for peace, unity, and development in the constituency.
