Kyebi (E/R) July 28, GNA – The Okyeman Youth Association has asked KOANS Building Solutions Company Limited to stay away from Akyem lands and to retract alleged defamatory comments and wrongful claim of ownership of their lands.
At a press conference in Kyebi, Mr. Archibald Ntiri-Acquah, the association’s president, challenged Mr. Kofi Anokye, managing director of KOANS Building Solutions, to present a receipt for lands leased to the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
“We demand that within 48 hours he produces evidence of receipt of payment, or faces our legitimate confrontation with his indiscretion,” he said.
He also urged KOANS not to tarnish the name of Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Ofori Panin, as the immemorial allodial owner of all lands in Akyem Abuakwa.
He further urged the Despite Group of Companies, which owns Neat FM, to stop using their media platform to incite public unrest involving Okyenhene.
He promised to make every effort to protect Akyem lands from fraudsters and illegal acquisition and leasing.
“We wish to assure all, that Okyeman will not become an unconscious plaything in the hands of profiteers and fraudulent businessmen who want to reap where they have not sown, ” he said.
