Ghana: GhanaWeb recently announced the nominees for the 2025 Edition of its annual GhanaWeb Excellence Awards. These nominees have been categorised into more than 20 categories. And as a way of bringing readers to speed on who and who have been nominated, here are brief profiles of some of them. All of the following have been nominated under the Business Development category.
According to Ghana Web, Tsonam Cleanse Akpeloo, a Ghanaian economist, technology entrepreneur, and business leader, is among the nominees. He is the Founder and CEO of SUKU Technologies, a company that provides digital and IT solutions to businesses and institutions in Ghana and beyond. Akpeloo has served as Chairman of the Greater Accra Region of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and, in 2024, was elected Chairperson of the Trade and Industry Cluster of the African Union ECOSOCC, becoming the first West African to hold that office. He holds degrees in Economics and Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana and has participated in international programs such as the Mandela Washington Fellowship. Akpeloo has been nominated for Best Business Developer in the GhanaWeb Excellence Award 2025.
Israella Kafui Mansu, another nominee, is a Ghanaian entrepreneur and business leader known for founding Mansuki Ghana Limited (MGL Naturals), a natural cosmetics manufacturing company. After graduating from the University of Ghana with a degree in Consumer Science and Psychology, she faced unemployment and used her savings to start her business in 2009. Under her leadership, MGL Naturals has grown into a respected brand with a wide range of natural skincare and hair products, exporting to markets in Africa, Europe, the United States, and Asia. Mansu's company also focuses on job creation and empowering rural women and youth. Kafui has been nominated for Best Business Developer.
Kevin Okyere is a nominee recognized for his contributions to the energy sector as the Founder and CEO of the Springfield Group. His company, a key player in Ghana's oil and gas exploration, storage, trading, and distribution, was founded in 2008. Okyere's leadership has propelled the Springfield Group into a billion-dollar energy conglomerate. He has also been involved in philanthropic efforts, supporting education and healthcare. Kevin has been nominated for Best Business Development.
Ayisha Fuseni, a Ghanaian social entrepreneur, is the founder and CEO of Asheba Enterprise, a business she started in 2013. She works with rural women, organising over 600 women into cooperatives to produce and process high-quality shea butter and related products. Her company supports women through training, financial services, and access to better markets. Ayisha has been recognized for her work in business development and innovation, winning several awards. She has been nominated for Best Business Developer.
Richard Nii Armah Quaye, an entrepreneur and investor from Jamestown in the Greater Accra Region, is known for founding Bills Micro Credit and Quick Angels Limited. These companies provide financial services and equity investment to small businesses and startups. Quaye is also the CEO of several food brands and currently serves as the President of RNAQ Holdings. He is acknowledged for supporting entrepreneurship and financial inclusion. Richard Nii Armah Quaye has been nominated for Best Business Developer.
