Accra: The leader and founder of Yehowa Beye Prayer Ministry, Prophet Nana Yaw Osei Tutu, has made a bold claim regarding Kennedy Agyapong's political future. The former Assin Central MP and presidential hopeful has a chance to become president, but only if he leaves the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and starts his own political movement.
According to Ghana Web, Prophet Osei Tutu, also known as Prophet 99, emphasized that Agyapong's ambition comes with challenges. He pointed out that Agyapong, who lost the NPP presidential primary to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, must break away from the NPP to achieve his presidential aspirations. The prophet further stated that while Agyapong has no prospects of winning the 2028 general election, he is destined for victory in 2032.
Prophet 99 expressed that the NPP would never consider Agyapong as its flagbearer, regardless of the outcome of the 2028 elections. He claimed that the party's leadership had already decided not to give him the presidential ticket. In an interview on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the prophet said, "The best move for Kennedy Agyapong is to leave the NPP and establish his own party. But he must understand that winning the 2028 election is out of the question."
The prophet also highlighted that Ghanaians appreciate Agyapong for his personal honesty and would support him in 2032, regardless of the candidates fielded by the NDC and NPP. Prophet 99 alleged that the NPP's leadership is already preparing former Agriculture Minister Bryan Acheampong as the next candidate after Bawumia. He concluded, "Kennedy should not be deceived into thinking the NPP will ever elect him. He should step aside, form a new party, and he will be handed the presidency in 2032 to serve for two terms. That is the true destiny of Kennedy Agyapong."
