Kumasi: The family of the late Apostle Emeritus Professor Ing Kwadwo Safo, alongside the management and members of the Kristo Asafo Mission, has expressed profound gratitude to Ghanaians for their overwhelming support, encouragement, and goodwill during the funeral and final transition of the esteemed industrialist and religious leader.
According to Ghana Web, the appreciation was conveyed by the daughter of the late Apostle, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, at a thanksgiving service held at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi, marking the conclusion of the funeral rites. Addressing a large congregation that included members of the Kristo Asafo Mission, friends, sympathisers, and admirers of the late Apostle, Adwoa Safo praised Ghanaians for their unwavering support throughout the funeral process.
She highlighted how the immense solidarity from individuals, institutions, traditional authorities, and religious bodies provided comfort to the family and significantly contributed to a befitting farewell for the late Apostle. The service attracted several prominent personalities, including former Vice President of Ghana and NPP presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who paid tribute to the late Apostle.
Dr Bawumia described Apostle Kwadwo Safo as a father figure who regarded him as one of his sons, offering guidance, counsel, and encouragement. He emphasized the late Apostle's belief in the ability of Africans to solve their own problems through innovation and self-confidence. According to Dr Bawumia, Apostle Safo's life illustrated the importance of self-belief, enterprise, and determination in advancing society and empowering Africa.
Dr Bawumia was accompanied by former Chief of Staff Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, former Minister of State S.K. Boafo, and other dignitaries. One notable moment during the service was the appearance of a rainbow in the sky, which many worshippers interpreted as a comforting sign during the Apostle's final transition.
The thanksgiving service united members of the Kristo Asafo community and sympathisers nationwide to celebrate Apostle Emeritus Professor Ing Kwadwo Safo's life, faith, ingenuity, and enduring legacy, highlighting his contributions to religion, technology, industry, and national development in Ghana.
