Kadjebi: Mr Anthony K. Ahiable, the Presiding Member of the Kadjebi District Assembly in the Oti Region, has announced his candidacy for the vice-chairmanship of the Akan Constituency for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He aims to leverage his leadership experience to fortify the party's grassroots operations.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Ahiable, who also serves as the Assemblyman for the Wawaso/Wawaboi Electoral Area, expressed his commitment to enhancing the party's growth and unity at the constituency level. His decision to run is driven by his desire to address grassroots concerns and his belief in fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment within the party.
Mr Ahiable emphasized the importance of effective communication and leadership, assuring party members that their voices would be heard and their concerns addressed. He stated his leadership approach would focus on valuing each member's contributions, thereby strengthening the party structure.
He outlined his plan to work closely with the Constituency Chairman and other executives to advance the party's objectives. His vision includes encouraging member participation in party activities and ensuring open communication between the leadership and the members.
Mr Ahiable appealed to delegates to consider his dedication to grassroots development when casting their votes. He is confident that his leadership will unite the constituency behind shared goals, fostering a robust and victorious Akan Constituency.
He also called for peaceful and transparent internal elections, urging members to prioritize the party's collective interests over individual ambitions. He stressed that a unified effort is crucial for building an effective constituency organization capable of mobilizing and engaging its members.
The NDC is scheduled to elect its Constituency Executives in October 2026.
