Accra: Actress Juliet Ibrahim has shared her thoughts on potentially entering the political arena, with a focus on enhancing the movie and entertainment industry. Speaking to TV3 Ghana on March 10, 2026, the actress expressed her interest in shaping policies and possibly working behind the scenes rather than engaging in full-time politics.
According to Ghana Web, Ibrahim mentioned that her primary motivation for considering a political role would be to make a significant impact on the entertainment sector. She stated, "I think that, for me, that's the only thing I see myself getting into just because of it. But then sometimes I think about it, and I'm like, you know what, maybe I want to be a policy maker. Or maybe someone is working behind the scenes. I don't know about full-on politics."
When discussing the possibility of taking up a ministerial position, Ibrahim admitted that such a role might be too demanding for her liking. She expressed a preference for serving as a deputy, citing her aversion to excessive stress. Additionally, Ibrahim used the opportunity to advise young women on the importance of building stable homes before having children.
She emphasized that young women should prioritize finding supportive partners and establishing stable homes, as raising a child alone can be challenging and potentially affect a child's emotional well-being. Ibrahim does not support the idea of young women deliberately having children before marriage, advocating instead for responsible parenting and stable family environments.
