ACCRA: The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has postponed the scheduled campaign tour of John Dramani Mahama in the Oti Region. The tour was anticipated to engage supporters across all nine constituencies of the region, with the aim of boosting support for the upcoming 2024 elections. According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Gabriel Kwame Lemboe, the regional secretary of the NDC, communicated the delay, stating that a new official schedule would be announced in due time. Lemboe expressed his understanding of the disappointment this might cause among the supporters, who were eagerly anticipating the campaign. Despite the lack of clarity on the reasons for the postponement, the party has reassured the public that the new dates for the tour will be communicated soon. The NDC has also issued an apology for any inconvenience caused by this change in plans. The postponement comes at a critical time as the NDC ramps up its efforts to secure a substantial following and garner votes in advance of the next national elec tions. The Oti Region, with its nine constituencies, is considered a significant area of focus for mobilizing electoral support.
