Accra: Janet Asana Nabla, Flagbearer of the People's National Party (PNP), has responded to remarks made by Malik Basintale, Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA). Basintale had asserted that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) would not 'lose guard' and hand over power to the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), claiming such a move would set the country back.
According to Ghana Web, Janet Asana Nabla addressed these comments during an interview on GhOne TV, where she clarified that power would not be transferred to the NPP, but rather to the PNP. She expressed confidence that the PNP would be the recipient of the power transition from the NDC in 2028.
Nabla also suggested that the NDC should refrain from participating in the 2028 elections, asserting that this would demonstrate respect for the people of Ghana. She criticized the NDC for alleged mismanagement of resources, highlighting debts and misuse of funds as evidence of her claims.
Janet Asana Nabla accused the NDC of failing to deliver on campaign promises and misleading the public. She emphasized that despite the party's assurances, their promises remain unfulfilled and insisted that the NDC would ultimately transfer power to the PNP in 2028.
