Accra: Samuel Atta Mills, son of the late President John Evans Atta Mills, has hinted at his future political ambitions, indicating that he would not hesitate to answer the call to serve when the time comes.
According to Ghana Web, in a viral video sighted on August 5, 2026, Samuel Atta Mills spoke about his connection to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its history. He described himself as a product of the party's tradition, inspired by discussions with senior party figures about the NDC's history and future. He expressed his desire to prepare himself for a similar role, emphasizing the importance of understanding the values that the party's founders had envisioned.
Atta Mills stressed the need for young NDC members to learn about the ideals that guided the party's founders. He asserted that understanding the party's history is necessary for those who want to contribute to its future. Atta Mills also announced plans to enrol in the NDC's proposed school, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of the party's principles and history.
He stated, "As soon as that party school is done, I will enrol and become one of the first students in the party school. I want to graduate from that school and have a certificate so that tomorrow I can show that I went through the mill and I got to where I am."
