‘I Am Here to Do It Again’ – John Boadu Vows to Make Bawumia President

Accra: Aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman John Boadu has vowed to ensure that former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia becomes President of Ghana. In a post on X sighted by GhanaWeb on August 4, 2026, Boadu stated that this would not be the first time he had worked to make a flagbearer president, citing the successful campaigns of former Presidents John Agyekum Kufuor and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as part of his record.

According to Ghana Web, Boadu declared his commitment to Dr Bawumia's presidential campaign by emphasizing his past achievements in similar roles. He highlighted his pivotal role in the electoral successes of Kufuor and Akufo-Addo, reinforcing his determination to secure a victory for Dr Bawumia. His statement, "I am here to ensure that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia becomes the next president of the Republic of Ghana. This is not rhetoric. I did it for former President John Agyekum Kufuor; I did it for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and I will do it again for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia," underscores his commitment.

John Boadu, a former NPP General Secretary and National Organiser with decades of party service, is positioning himself as a unifying figure focused on rebuilding grassroots structures.
