Hohoe MCE Praises Community Engagement in Nationwide Clean-Up Exercise

Hohoe: Mr Prosper Kumi, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has commended schools, institutions, security agencies, and residents for observing the nationwide General Cleaning Exercise. He expressed his encouragement from the enthusiasm and commitment displayed by school authorities, teachers, pupils, and supervisors in ensuring their school compounds and immediate surroundings were kept clean.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Kumi visited several schools within the Municipality during the first phase of the two-day exercise. He urged all residents to actively participate in the upcoming second phase, emphasizing the importance of community involvement. Mr Kumi encouraged traders, businesses, and community groups to join in the efforts to make Hohoe a model of environmental responsibility.

The MCE also acknowledged the Volta North Regional Police Command and sanitation agencies for their leadership in the municipality-wide sanitation exercise, which is part of the government's post-flood recovery initiative. He praised the collaborative efforts of the SSNIT Hohoe staff, Ghana Education Service, Zoomlion, MuSAP, sanitation officers, and other stakeholders for their contributions to the exercise's success.

Mr Kumi highlighted the commitment of these institutions to environmental cleanliness and public health, noting their efforts as highly commendable.
