Ho Sector Collection of Customs Exceeds Revenue Target, Mobilises GHc82.47 Million

Mr. Aaron Kanor, the Commissioner of GRA, Customs Division, in an address read by Mr. Eric Boakye, the Commandant of GRA Academy and Training School, Kpetoe, commended the duty-bearers in the Ho Sector for their hard work and contribution to nation-building. He noted that all 18 collection sectors returned a positive variant, with the Ho Sector ranking fourth on the revenue table nationwide. Mr. Kanor mentioned that management is working diligently to address some of the challenges facing the service and urged officers to redouble their efforts in mobilizing the necessary revenue for national development, supporting the government's reset agenda. He also cautioned against bad press and encouraged exploring internal remedies for resolving issues and disputes. Hardworking staff of the Sector were recognized and rewarded for their outstanding performance during the period under review. Mr. James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, emphasized that revenue is the lifeblood of any nation and trusted that the officers, men, and women would continue to uphold integrity and meet expectations. Mr. Gunu urged the officers to continue serving with excellence and fairness, which defines the GRA, and appealed to Ghanaians to pay their taxes promptly, assuring them that the government is c ommitted to utilizing taxes effectively for development projects across the country.
