Tanoso: An unidentified person has been killed in a hit-and-run incident near the University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (USTED) campus at Tanoso in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The incident took place adjacent to the Shell filling station along the Tanoso stretch.
According to Ghana Web, eyewitnesses reported that the victim was struck by a speeding vehicle whose driver did not stop after the collision. Police from the Tanoso District Command have transported the body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue for preservation and identification. Investigations are ongoing to identify the deceased and locate the driver involved.
Authorities are calling on the public, especially relatives of missing persons, to contact the Tanoso Police Station to help in identifying the body. The Assembly Member for the Tanoso Electoral Area, Hon Aaron Nandie, confirmed the death and expressed concern over the incident. He urged the Ghana Police Service to expedite investigations to ensure the suspect is apprehended and prosecuted.
