Hearts of Oak new signing Konadu Yiadom scores to save club from third consecutive defeat to Olympics

Hearts of Oak’s new signing, Konadu Yiadom marked his debut on Sunday afternoon with a late goal to save the team from suffering a third consecutive defeat to Great Olympics.

Last season, the Phobians lost both fixtures in the league played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Today, Hearts of Oak head coach Samuel Boadu named a strong starting eleven hoping to finally get one over the rival club.

Unfortunately, for him, his team had a very slow start to the game. Great Olympics looking sharp on the matchday scored after just eight minutes when Abdul Razak Yussif equalized with a fine strike.

Despite putting up a fight in the remainder of the first half, Hearts of Oak could not get back into the game.

It took a late strike from new signing Konadu Yiadom in the 88th minute to see the Phobians earn a point out of the fixture today.

The result today means that Hearts of Oak have a single point after two matches in this season’s Ghana Premier League.

Up next for the team, they will take on sworn enemies Asante Kotoko on matchday three of the ongoing campaign.
