Hearts of Oak hold maiden training session at Pobiman sports complex

It was all joy on Tuesday afternoon when Hearts of Oak staged a first training session at the Pobiman sports complex.

As part of the vision by board chairman Togbe Afede XIV to uplift the image of the Ghana Premier League side, he is building the complex and other facilities for the team.

On Tuesday morning, an official club statement announced that the club has decided to stop training at the St. Thomas Aquinas School Park.

In the statement, the club said from henceforth, the team will use the Pobiman sports complex for its training and other team activities.

“Hearts of Oak will officially hold it’s first training session at the Pobiman sports complex today. The pitch at the facility is ready for usage hence the decision to shift our training venue from St. Thomas Aquinas school Park to Pobiman.

“This year, the Phobians plan to use the facility as a training camp where all of our training sessions and other team activities will be held whilst we wait patiently for the official commissioning of the edifice,” a Hearts of Oak statement said.

Just as planned, the players and technical team of Hearts of Oak have used the training facilities at Pobiman sports complex this afternoon for training.

The playing body will be back at the Pobiman sports complex tomorrow to continue preparations under the guidance of the technical team ahead of the Super Clash against Asante Kotoko.
