Accra: The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) is actively addressing intermittent technical challenges impacting tax payments through the Ghana.gov platform. The issue, which began on Friday, August 14, 2026, has been affecting taxpayers, importers, clearing agents, and other users relying on the service.
According to Ghana News Agency, the GRA's Communication and Public Affairs Department released a statement on Wednesday confirming that the technical difficulties are affecting payments made via the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS). Additionally, transactions through the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS) and the Ghana Integrated Tax Management and Information System (GITMIS) are also impacted.
The Authority clarified that the challenges are specific to payment processing and do not interfere with the filing of tax returns. While the Ghana.gov platform remains operational, users might experience delays in transaction processing or in their payments reflecting on their respective portals.
The GRA is collaborating with relevant technical partners to resolve the issue and restore normal payment processing operations. Ongoing technical interventions are being prioritized to address the problem urgently.
Taxpayers and other stakeholders have been assured by the Authority that all necessary actions are being taken to rectify the affected transactions. Once the situation is fully resolved, outstanding payment transactions will be processed and appropriately reflected on taxpayers' portals.
Efforts are also being made to minimize further disruptions to taxpayers and users of the affected systems. The GRA has committed to providing additional updates as necessary to keep all parties informed.
