Savannah region: The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed-Muntaka Mubarak, has confirmed that the results of the medical examinations conducted for applicants in the ongoing security recruitment exercise are ready. Speaking during President John Dramani Mahama's 'Resetting Ghana' citizens' engagement in the Savannah Region, Muntaka stated that the results will be released next week.
According to Ghana Web, more than 105,000 applicants successfully qualified for the medical stage of the recruitment process, far exceeding the initial target of 5,000 recruits earmarked for final enlistment. The government will ensure that individuals who pass the examinations are prioritized and called up for the final stage of the recruitment process.
Muntaka emphasized that President Mahama has intervened with the Minister for Finance to double the intake of recruits, raising the target to 40,000. He assured Ghanaians of the timely release of the medical results and highlighted the government's commitment to prioritizing successful candidates for the next phase of recruitment.
Furthermore, Muntaka reassured applicants that those who may not be recruited immediately would still have opportunities in future exercises. He stated that the government plans to retain the data of all applicants for potential recruitment when opportunities become available in the services.
