Sokode-gbogame: Evangelist Agbetum Kudzo has called on the youth to dedicate their lives to divine service, emphasizing that God seeks 'saved channels' to bring salvation to others. He stressed that the primary method through which God reached the unsaved was through those who had already experienced His salvation.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Kudzo, speaking at a Youth Retreat in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region under the theme 'Agents of Salvation,' challenged the youth to recognize the urgency of the current spiritual season. He urged the young people to go beyond passive faith and actively make themselves available for God's purpose, stating, "God needs saved channels to save others, therefore, you must be agents of salvation, transmitting Christ to others."
Mr. Kudzo emphasized that believers who were agents of salvation needed to maintain a close relationship with Christ, the source of salvation, to gain more of Him and have an impact on the lives of other people. He underscored the importance of daily salvation in the life of a Christian and encouraged participants to maintain a God-directed life to remain effective in their witness to their peers.
He urged young people to abstain from what he referred to as 'refined sins' and dedicate themselves to everyday salvation to avoid contradicting God's word in their day-to-day activities and to be well-prepared to impact others. The Evangelist bemoaned the moral degradation of the world today, attributing it to sin and stating that man required Christ's salvation, as Christ came not to condemn the world but to save it.
Mr. Kudzo charged the participants to return to their localities as transformed leaders, ready to influence their generation for Christ, and should not allow anything contrary to the life of Christ to rule them. The theme 'Agents of Salvation' recognized the ongoing spiritual battle for souls, requiring a generation of youth who are both sanctified and prepared for the task.
The three-day retreat, which drew young people from various parts of the country, was characterized by intense prayer.
