Mafi adidome: The GlobeServe Missionary Church, operating under the GlobeServe Ministries International, is gearing up to commemorate its 30th anniversary with a celebratory launch and the introduction of a new logo at the GlobeServe Preparatory School campus located in Mafi Adidome, within the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region.
According to Ghana News Agency, the three-day event, scheduled from June 5 to June 7, will revolve around the theme 'Thirty Years of Faith, Impact and God's Faithfulness.' The anniversary celebration is expected to gather prominent figures including Reverend Samuel Anthony Kofi Dunya, the ministry's Founder and President, as well as Mr David Agbeli, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees in Ghana. The event will also see participation from international representatives comprising pastors and members from both Ghana and abroad.
Reverend Mawuli Vinyo, the Ministry's General Secretary, shared in an interview that the celebration will encompass a series of activities aimed at reflecting on the ministry's journey over the past three decades. The planned events will include a review of GlobeServe's historical photographs, a parade through the main streets of Adidome, the unveiling of a new logo, and performances of traditional dances such as Borborbor and Agbadza, all leading up to the grand launch on Sunday.
He highlighted that the anniversary serves as an occasion for the ministry to express gratitude for divine faithfulness throughout the years and extended an invitation to the public for their support in this endeavor. Reverend Vinyo emphasized that over the last thirty years, the ministry has been instrumental in changing lives and transforming communities, all while spreading the Gospel to serve God and humanity.
He further noted that the celebration marks the onset of a new chapter focused on expanding outreach and evangelism, reaffirming the ministry's dedication to winning souls for Jesus Christ and broadening its mission work in the future. Founded in June 1996 by Reverend Samuel A K Dunya and his wife, Jonhild, the GlobeServe Missionary Church has evolved into a Ghana-based Christian organization with a comprehensive mission focus.
Reverend Vinyo explained that the ministry operates holistically, concentrating on church planting, theological training, and community development. A significant emphasis is placed on reaching unreached groups within West Africa through missionary initiatives and discipleship. As preparations continue, organizers anticipate that the launch will witness strong participation, setting a memorable tone for the anniversary celebrations.
