Accra: The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Education and Cambridge Education to support Ghana's ongoing education reform agenda. The agreement, signed at the Education World Forum, is expected to provide a structured and practical framework for collaboration aimed at strengthening key areas of the education sector.
According to Ghana Web, the partnership will focus on system analysis, curriculum development, assessment reforms, and teacher professional development. Haruna Iddrisu explained that the agreement is designed to deepen reforms and improve the overall quality of education delivery in Ghana. The collaboration will support the integration of cross-cutting priorities such as climate education and artificial intelligence into Ghana's education system.
Iddrisu stated, "I signed an MoU between the Ministry of Education and Cambridge Education at the ongoing Education World Forum, which seeks to offer a clear and practical framework to support Ghana's education reform agenda through collaboration on system analysis, curriculum and assessment strengthening, teacher professional development, and the integration of cross-cutting priorities."
The Minister emphasized that the partnership aims to enhance the quality, relevance, and effectiveness of education delivery in line with global best practices and emerging technological trends. The collaboration is expected to help Ghana build a more resilient and future-ready education system capable of responding to evolving global demands.
The signing forms part of government efforts to deepen reforms in the education sector and improve learning outcomes across all levels.
