Accra: The Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has pledged his full support for the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF), emphasizing its potential to transform access to specialized healthcare across the nation. This commitment was made during a visit by the Fund's delegation led by Administrator Adjoa Obuobia Darko-Opoku to the Ga Mantse Palace in anticipation of the Homowo Festival.
According to Ghana News Agency, the delegation, which included Board Member Dr. Adu Agyei Gyamfi and members of the Fund's management team, aimed to deepen partnerships with traditional authorities and rally national support for its mission to ensure no Ghanaian is denied life-saving healthcare due to financial constraints. The Fund's efforts to expand access to specialized treatment and strengthen healthcare infrastructure were highlighted during the meeting.
The Ga Mantse praised the Fund's vision, asserting that national development is reliant on citizens' access to quality healthcare. He vowed to leverage the influence of the Ga State to advocate for the Fund's initiatives, encouraging support from Ghanaians, corporate entities, and development partners.
In a gesture of solidarity for the upcoming Homowo Festival, the Ghana Medical Trust Fund donated 100 boxes of bottled water and 100 boxes of assorted soft drinks to the Ga Mantse. The Ga Mantse expressed gratitude for the contribution and commended the Fund's dedication to both healthcare improvement and cultural heritage support.
The Trust Fund continues to foster partnerships with traditional leaders to enhance healthcare access, raise public awareness, and extend hope to every Ghanaian in need.
