Accra: Nations FC head coach Frimpong Manso has reiterated his ambition to win silverware, insisting that his objectives remain unchanged despite the challenges facing the club in the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season. Manso was appointed midway through the campaign, taking over from Kasim Mingle after a difficult start for the Abrankese-based side. After 20 league matches, Nations FC currently sit 12th on the table with 24 points.
According to Ghana Web, speaking ahead of Nations FC's game against Medeama SC, Frimpong Manso stated that they are going for the three points despite their current form in the Ghana Premier League. "Nations has always had good players, but I think their main problem last season was their pre-season. Most of the players currently in the squad did not do pre-season with the team," he explained.
Frimpong Manso further commented on the ongoing transition within the team, noting, "Some younger players are coming in, while some older ones are leaving, so it has been a bit challenging; it feels like we are building a new team." Nations FC will host Ghana Premier League leaders Medeama SC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Friday, January 30, 2026.
